I think I've mentioned before
my love of all things Pinterest?
Pinterest is a never ending source
of clever ideas and recipes and such.
I tend to surf the app
on my phone anytime I find myself
with some down time.
Waiting for a prescription at the pharmacy?
I'm pinning.
Sitting in a long meeting?
I'm pinning.
Exercising on the recumbant bicycle and trying to last those last 3 minutes
{which are all cool down...}

I'm pinning.
I find lots of fun stuff on Pinterest
and mostly I totally love it.
But I also have one random beef.
What is UP with all the Mason Jar stuff?
I mean really.
Let me share some examples:
Mason Jar goblets at a wedding?
Really?
Can you not afford real glasses?
{cause I don't think these look classy...}
Mason Jar chandelier?
In the right cabin....maybe?
but then again....really?
Just buy a real light fixture.
Mason Jars as a cool way to store you lunch?
People keep acting like this is the best idea since sliced bread
and I'm sorry...but Tupperware has been doing this for ages.
Plus...it works better.
I'm just saying....
Photo in a mason jar filled with Olive oil?
just seems like a waste of some good oil
and like it would ruin a good photo.
Mason Jar snow globes?
Just buy a real snow globe.
they are cuter,
and far less likely to spill.
painted mason jars?
{there are all kinds of these out there}
I'm not sure what their purpose is?
a vase for flowers?
don't you have better REAL vases?

And lastly there is the idea of cupcakes in a mason jar?
I'm split on this one.
The whole idea of a rainbow cupcake
in a jar
{like the one pictured above}
just looks gross to me.
Now...
the idea of a small cute treat
to give a neighbor,
with a lid...
If packaged right..
OK.

I think that would actually make a darling gift.
and the pie in a jar?
also...if done right.

super cute
So there you go.
Apparently I don't like mason jars.
Which...is kind of true.
Even when I am making ACTUAL jam?
I like to use cooler looking jars.
{like Weck Jars}
I suppose it is the designer in me.
What do you think?
Are you a fan of the mason jar trend?

Hahaha! That made me laugh! Yeah, I don't get it either. But I also deleted my pinterest account. I didn't need the stress of seeing all the stuff I'd never have or do. I love the designer in you by the way!
I wrote almost this exact same post on my blog a couple years ago. I don't get it either! I honestly can't think of anything that sounds less appealing than eating a baked good out of a mason jar...and don't get me started on homemade snow globes around the house...
I totally agree! Weck jars are way more attractive. I do love the cute pie in a jar thing from our best bites.
I'm also over the whole DIY wood pallet furniture thing... yuck. Who wants to do that? but that could just be me.
I can help you identify the drinking glasses. They are called "red-neck wine glasses" and they are a big hit here in Alabama. Maybe it was a southern wedding?
